Established in the year of 1923, by Late. Kali Coomar Das, who basically used to be a manufacturer of garments, and had an expertise in tailoring. He use to make his own products and sell it from his store, which used to be located in shyambazar, later it was taken over by his son, Late Balai Chandra Das, who started the concept of retailing, purchasing good from various location in huge quantity and selling them to the end customers on a recurring basis from the same outlet. this was the time when he had a store of around 400sqft. after his death his son MR.
